Ukrainian Mosaic Orchestra
Each phrase, each piece in a performance by the Ukrainian Mosaic Orchestra
gradually develops images of startling musical color and complexity. The
orchestra has been formed and shaped to represent the musical and cultural
heritage of Ukraine in all its diversity. Captured in both traditional folk and
contemporary repertoire are wide wheat-covered plains, remote mountain
villages, legendary rivers, and the great cosmopolitan city of Kyiv with its golden
domed monasteries. The orchestra’s musical landscape doesn’t stop there - it
stretches far beyond to include popular world music, film scores and classical
favorites.
