THE BUFFOONS
De originele "The Buffoons" in 1966 ontstaan uit "The White Rockets" was een Close Harmony groep uit Enschede. Na diverse hits zijn "The Buffoons" in 1979 gestopt met musiceren.
De oorspronkelijke leden zijn: Hilco ter Heide, Ely en Gerard van Tongeren, Maarten Assink, Boy Brostowski, Bob Luiten, Don Biesbroek, Benny de Groot, Jack van Rossum, Skip van Rooy en Koos Wiekenkamp.
The Buffoons zijn gestopt eind januari 1979. De laatste bezetting was Gerard en Ely van Tongeren, Hilco ter Heide, Don Biesbroek, Skip van Rooy en Koos Wiekenkamp.
In 1990 werden onder de naam "The New Buffoons" in een andere samenstelling: Gerard en Ely van Tongeren, Henk Bruinewoud en Joop Walkot de Buffoons opnieuw opgericht.
