Loshn

Loshn are a new Klezmer ensemble exploring the traditional music of Ashkenazi Jewish culture. Through informed interpretation of old repertoire, their music speaks, sings and dances with the tradition's distinct Yiddish accent and vocabulary.

Collectively bringing together over 30 years of study and experience of Klezmer music, Loshn are an exciting collaboration between one of the UK's most established interpreters and teachers of the style, with the next generation of Klezmorim. Fidl player Anna Lowenstein and clarinetist John Macnaughton are joined by acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and teacher, Susi Evans on accordion to form a trio of intimate, Yiddish chamber music.
