Atticus Jazz
This YouTube channel is dedicated to the first recordings of jazz, made between 1917 and 1931. Virtually all of the records featured here are or were from my personal collection. Some of them I sold in the meantime to finance other records, and in very few cases I used a collector friend's record for my recording. This also means that all recordings are my own, including their remastering with special software.
My most important goal is to make this wonderful music known and to infect others with it. In my final products, my intention is to produce the most natural and clear sound reproduction possible and not to strangle the music as others do.
By the way, we call our music "Hot Jazz" and not Dixieland. Other collectors, musicians, fans of Hot Jazz meet on Facebook in my private group "Hot Jazz Records (1917-1931)". Feel free to join!
Keep jazzin'!
