Hello, my name is David Gallas, my parents are born in Indonesia, Bandung and Yogjakarta, living in Europe. I received 3 daughters, Isabelle, Marceline and Yanou. My grand grand father, Raden Mas Setjo di Redjo was a Doktor Jawa and Wedono of Situbundu, Prajekan, a district in east Java, originated from the keraton of Sumenep.
My grand grand mother was Raden Ajoe Siti Soetari, Siti means the daughter of the Sultan, Sultan Hamenkoeboewono of Yogjakarta.
You can call me a cultural activist, because I like to keep Indonesian tradition alive, just to honor my ancestors. I'm not a keris expert like some people think, I'm more interested in Kejawen, the use of the keris. The keris is an important object of the Kejawen. During WW2 we lost some family keris...
