Westgate Chambers
At Westgate Chambers our aim is very straight forward. We deliver excellence in Family, Civil and Criminal law, so you have immediate access to best in class legal technicians with a genuinely personal touch.
Our family, civil, and crime teams are home to over 40 barristers based in the South East of England, all of whom are ready to provide you with the highest quality advocacy, representation and advice.
Our clients are predominantly Solicitors from a long list of law firms, many of whom have repeatedly worked with us since Chambers opened. However, we also have worked extensively with local government, prosecuting authorities and are increasingly receiving instructions from members of the public thanks to our direct access accreditation.
Although our primary base is now in Brighton, we are best placed to act in cases being heard on the South Eastern Circuit and remain involved in many major cases in London’s courts.
Government plans to repeal the presumption of parental involvement in the Children Act 1989.
