My name is Rick and I lived most of my life in New York, and explored the mountains and woods of the Northeast. So much of my early videos (2015-2017) are about enjoying the Northeast. I moved to Statesville, NC in October 2017 for a new and challenging employer, but retired in 2023. My German Shepherd and I travel and camp and hike all over the east and have many places on our Bucket List to visit. So come along and see the best of the US through my eyes (or my cameras Lens). Life is too short and everyone is running around like crazy. This channel is for relaxed travel and places to visit,
and stopping to laugh at life as it takes the road less traveled. It's also about not hurrying to get someplace, or
hurrying to leave. So going no where fast, going everywhere slow!! I'll try to post every week, And more if I have something interesting.

My quartzsite trip summary 2025
Valley of Fire is a very nice NV state park with many interesting geological and archeological feat.
New Mexico StatePark leasburg dam. Very nice and well equipped.
The roosevelt lake campground and area. Better go before its all mined to death.

The Largest Spring in Texas in the middle of the Texas desert. Balmorhea State Pk, and lots to see.
Nice Campground Near Houston, Mostly focused on Fishing and Hiking. Cagle Camp in Sam Houston Forest
