Welcome to the Sarod Channel - the Youtube channel companion to http://www.sarod.com.au. I upload videos of sarod compositions in my quest to document as much of the sarod repertoire as possible. I also publish details of the ragas and compositions on my website, recording directly in my music room during practice sessions. The objective is to document my journey and experience with this majestic instrument - which is currently suffering a total lack of documentation. I hope to cover the vast majority of Indian ragas and their compositions on the sarod over time. The compositions include those from Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Ustad Shahid Parvez (sitar) and material from the Maihar and Shahjahanpur schools of sarod as well as vocal based compositions and some of my own creations.
