NordoffRobbins

Founded in 1989 by Dr. Clive Robbins and Carol Robbins, the Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy is a non-profit facility affiliated with the graduate program in music therapy at New York University. We are financed primarily through the fund-raising efforts of the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Foundation, Inc. (501C3 non-profit organization), which exists to make this service possible. The Foundation's main sources of income are special events and grants. The additional funds to cover operating costs are raised through therapy session fees, training course fees, the sale of instructional materials and contributions.

Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy is successful due to its labor-intensive nature. There is no substitute for the focused and sustained attention of experienced therapists when it comes to connecting with hard-to-reach individuals such as children with autism.
