I have always enjoyed driving. The sense of control, of connection and ultimately freedom. It is a connection that only a motoring enthusiast can fully appreciate.

So we drive it, whatever it may be. Fast, slow, luxurious or spartan. It really makes no difference they are all a beast to be tamed to your will.

The day will come, in the not too distant future, where driving will become a thing of the past. Self driving cars will render us obsolete, a redundant biological variable, too unpredictable to be allowed on the same roads as the algorithmic automatons that will populate our streets and highways.

When that day comes you can prize my car keys from my cold dead hand. But until that day we live to drive.
