Thierry Eliez is a major French artist, master of jazz improvisation. A piano virtuoso, he is renowned for constantly pushing musical boundaries. His absolute memory, perfect pitch and boundless imagination have earned him an unrivalled reputation. Each of his solo albums has established him as a master of the genre : The dyptic 'Improse' and 'Improse extended" earned him the title of Jazz Impressionist, initiating conferences on the influence of French impressionist music on jazz.
With "Emerson Enigma" he became a leading figure in progressive jazz...
His particularity as a composer and an improviser is due to the power and viscerality of his playing, and his ability to know the works perfectly and to sublimate them with a single chord. "Thierry Eliez has the absolute piano".
