SPARSHA Nepal

Society for Positive Atmosphere and Related Support to HIV and AIDS (SPARSHA) Nepal is a community-supported Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). SPARSHA Nepal primarily focuses on reducing stigma and discrimination associated with HIV and AIDS, particularly as it relates to people living with HIV and AIDS (PLHA). Initially started as an informal network of PLHA in 2002, SPARSHA Nepal, registered formally in 2004 is run by and for People Living with HIV and AIDS and their friends (PLHAF). With the motto 'we practice what we preach', the organization believes in comprehensive response to HIV/AIDS, which includes providing preventive messages to the general population, necessary quality treatment and care and support services and capacity building for PLHA and other Most at Risk Populations (MARPs), with special focus on drug users (DUs).
