Batangas State University

Batangas State University (BatStateU), the Philippines' National Engineering University under Republic Act No. 11694, is the country’s largest engineering institution and a leader in technology education. Headed by its President, Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, BatStateU focuses on industry-aligned education, producing globally competitive graduates. The university is the only state university in the Philippines with engineering and computing programs accredited by both the US-based ABET and the Philippine Technological Council–ACBET.

BatStateU ranks 401–600 in the 2025 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, 111th in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), and 304th in the 2024 UI GreenMetric World Rankings. It is also home to the BatStateU Knowledge, Innovation, and Science Technology (KIST) Park, a Special Economic Zone designated by Presidential Proclamation No. 947, supporting innovation and national development.
