Welcome to Bobbins and buttons. It all began in 2013 when my kids were very little. I taught my sewing classes in the evenings when they were tucked up in bed! I still love teaching and along side my real classes I now share tutorials here. I also produce a range of sewing patterns with styles for all the family. I sell dressmaking fabrics with a focus on sustainability.
I think sewing should be an inclusive sustainable practice that anyone can do. My sewing pattern designs generally start as wardrobe solutions for me and my family, they sometimes even help with the making! I think of sewing as part of a well balanced lifestyle. From the mindful process of choosing fabric and design to the creative, practical process of making and then wearing your creation. Each stage is special. I would love to share and connect with you on your sewing journey.
