Sarava Music

Afro-Brazilian groove with Middle Eastern roots, Saravá Music startef as a covers band inspired by a burnt CD of legendary guitarist Baden Powell. Led by Dudi Shaul, the project traces the movement of sound across continents - from Africa to Brazil, the Middle East and beyond. Shaped by his Iraqi Jewish heritage and migrations between Australia and Israel, Dudi’s music elicits a sense of homecoming, an undeniable Brazilian touch, and a culture of collaboration worldwide. Releasing the Baden Powell Diaries on YouTube in 2020, the project received international acclaim, hailed as "mesmerizing, honest and unique with a defining presence." Saravá, meaning: "the force of nature" or "cheers to life," encapsulates the blues of the desert and an uncompromising celebration of life.
