Hey fiddle players, and welcome to my folk-fiddle learning hub, Fire Up The Fiddle!

About me: I'm Will, and I'm the fiddle playing front man of folk rock band Noble Jacks and also record and tour as a solo artist.

Fire Up The Fiddle is aimed to help fiddle players find and learn footstompin' tunes through video tutorials. I'm a big believer in finding your own style and freedom within a tune, so for the most part of the tutorial videos I've just picked out the basic notes on the left hand to get you started. Once you've got the tunes down, play along to the extended recording at the end of the videos, replay as many times as you need to get that fiddle fired up!

When I was a teenager I spent hours listening to my favourite fiddle tunes on record, attempting to pick out the notes at full speed; it was challenging but worth it to add great tunes into my set! If only I'd had instructional videos to help me learn faster...!
