This YouTube channel is an educational forum for screencasts of problem solving techniques in sophomore organic chemistry. I am currently an assistant professor of organic chemistry at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. In addition to teaching undergraduate organic chemistry, I have a small research group composed of Ph.D. candidates, undergraduate and high school student researchers. We are looking into new ways to make carbon-nitrogen bonds for the total synthesis of natural products and other small molecules. Our mission is to use the synthetic tools and fundamental principles of organic chemistry to efficiently create new drug candidates for the societal benefit of advancing human healthcare.
