Hello! I'm an empty-nester determined to keep this phase of life far from empty! Welcome to my life's travels and journeys. I post about travel, being my 87 Year old mom's caregiver, my 2 grandchildren, my home and my crafts.
I've been fortunate to see much of the USA (41 states and 20 National Parks) and some of the world (20 countries). Earlier in life I was an Army wife. My husband was active duty for 10 years. We moved 6 times during those years including 2 years in Germany and the east and west coast of the US.
We weren't able to travel much while our children were younger, but now we're empty nesters, although thankfully our children who flew the nest for years are back in our town. Empty nest life has reawakened my love of seeing new places.
Recently both my mom and mother-in-law have moved to Wilmington. My mom is in assisted living and we have had a twisty, up and down journey with her transition.
