James Walters
I am a keen naval historian who has worked on major TV documentaries on the Mary Celeste and the Mutiny on the Bounty. I am a maritime investigator by profession working on modern commercial shipping issues for the insurance industry. As a hobby, the main focus of my historical research is on European Pacific Exploration from Francis Drake through to the Beagle, with Fitzroy and Darwin.
The life of James Cook, William Bligh and Horatio Nelson have been a focus since my childhood and I enjoy sharing my knowledge of the sea inspired through experiencing life at sea on the replica’s of the Endeavour, Goteborg and the classic tall ship Eye of the Wind. Do enjoy my videos and feel free to ask any questions.
My videos are produced in conjunction with the Britannia Naval Research Association and Society for Nautical Research of which I am a Member.
