Micah Rosenstein

Micah Rosenstein (b. 2001) is an American composer, multimedia artist, and educator of music theory, composition, film, fixed media, and stop-motion animation. His art combines storytelling and humor with community engagement. He has written for ensembles including the UT New Music Ensemble, UTSA Symphonic Band, TJC Low Brass Ensemble, and the 323rd Army Band and has collaborated with organizations such as OPERA San Antonio, UTSA Arts, and Alamo Music through engraving, arranging, and animation.

Micah teaches K–12 music theory at Clavier-Werke School of Music South and serves as a Graduate TA in Theory and Composition at UT Austin. His pedagogical passion includes teaching veterans through UTSA On-Corps and presenting research on teaching strategies “outside the classroom” at the 2023 Texas Society for Music and 2022 Music Theory Pedagogy Into Practice conferences. Micah Rosenstein currently studies for his MM in Composition at UT Austin.
