Capital Area CAN

Educational attainment is a vital factor impacting the sustainability and health of the capital region and the lifelong success of today’s families. The 21st Century global economy demands a workforce with an education beyond high school.

Capital Area College Access Network is a community collaborative focused on making completion of post-secondary education an achievable reality for all residents of the capital area.

Our community fosters high educational aspirations of our students and will align our institutions and resources to advance that vision.

The Mission of the Capital Area College Access Network (CapCAN) is to increase college and career readiness, participation and completion among low-income, first generation college going students, and students of color.

The Goal of CapCAN is to increase the percentage of Capital Area residents with a high quality degree or credential from 47% to 60% by 2025.
