Whatever you’re going through, creating can carry you from one day to the next. You can give life to art and crafting, and it will give you life and mend you. Your creations have power, your hands can heal you and the world. Through paper, fabric, colour, yarn or thread, we can feel less alone. Through these creations, we find that even though each of us is going through our unique share of pain in life, we can find meaning, connection and beauty in stitching, textures, materials.
Soft, crisp, crinkly, vintage or new and bright, grungy or shiny, I love combinations of materials and colours, trying different techniques: drawing, painting, collage, mark making, asemic writing, stitching, mixed media. I love to explore variety of paper and textile crafts: journal making, sewing, embroidery, slow stitch, crochet. I’m inspired by nature, surrealism, Art Nouveau, Arts and Crafts, steampunk, symbolism, mysticism, astrology. I hope you find here some inspiration and encouragement to create.
