Clara Wang

Principle Harpist of the Orchestra of National Ballet, Canada and 1st prize winner of the 2018 OSM Manulife Competition, Clara Wang has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, from Montreal’s La Maison Symphonique to Taiwan’s Eslite Performance Hall. Clara made her solo debut in 2011, only 3 years after beginning the harp, performing an arrangement of Handel’s Organ Concerto No. 5 with the New England Conservatory’s Baroque Chamber Orchestra. Another memorable highlight of Clara's career include being featured as a soloist in 2014 performing Debussy’s Danses Sacree et Profane with the NEC’s String Chamber Orchestra in Jordan Hall. The same year, Clara opened the 12th World Harp Congress’s Focus on Youth Program in Sydney, Australia, after which she studied with renowned harpist Alice Giles. Soon after, she appeared as a soloist at the 2015 Taiwan International Harp Festival.
