University of South Alabama Jaguar Marching Band

The University of South Alabama Jaguar Marching Band is a select ensemble of 250 musicians, color guard, and a feature twirler. Housed in the Department of Music within the College of Arts and Sciences, the University's largest academic division, the Jaguar Marching Band serves as an ambassador for the USA, a model of marching technique and instruction, and a touchstone for Jaguar fans and alumni. Membership is open by audition to all full-time students at the University of South Alabama, and students do not have to major or minor in music in order to participate. All instruments, equipment, and apparel is provided to students free of charge and each member of the JMB receives a generous scholarship. The band is under the direction of Director of Bands and Director of Athletic Bands, Dr. Will Petersen. He is assisted by the Associate Director of Bands, Dr. Jason Rinehart.
