Big Bear Homestead
Welcome to the Big Bear Homestead where our mission is reaching the community through teaching homesteading.
We live on a 21-acre homestead in Elberton GA, where we raise pigs, cows (beef and dairy), sheep, chickens, ducks, quail, and honeybees. We are in garden zone 7B, we have a large garden that we use to can our harvest. We also partake in the Grow Foods Not lawns movement
Our videos are created with a fun spirit and sprinkled with experience. We try to highlight the many challenges we have faced and the lessons we have learned on our homesteading journey.
If you want to see genuine homesteading ups and downs, you are in the right place! Be sure to check out our playlists for things like gardening, rescuing a honey bee hive, choosing a dairy cow, an introduction to raising pigs and even predator control on the homestead.
We also do weekly live streams on Saturday evenings from 8 to 9pm. Hope
to see you there! Thanks for stopping by the Big Bear Homestead. HAVE A NICE DAY!
