Krshala Dance Theatre - Kathak Dance School

Krshala has derived its name from the Sanskrit words 'Kr' for Kriya and 'Shala' for Space. A place for learning, sharing and spreading the beautiful dance form of Kathak is Krshala. Under the aegis of Smt. Simran Godhwani, an accomplished Kathak artist, the teaching style here is designed in a way to imbibe the cultural values of the art form within the core of each student who come to learn with dedication.

The curriculum at Krshala encompasses the rich heritage of Kathak derived from dance vocabulary passed down from the masters of the Lucknow Gharana including the current torchbearer and great maestro Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj. The students will be trained extensively in various elements of Kathak. Innumerable opportunities will be provided to participate in various events and workshops conducted by eminent dancers from around the world.
