Language and Linguistic Science, University of York
We have a tradition of excellence and innovation in teaching and research. In foreign languages we have a focus on communicative, grammatical and cultural competence, and the delivery of focussed content modules for partner departments. In linguistics we have strongly empirically-based research on a diversity of languages and varieties from a range of complementary theoretical approaches, and teaching to an advanced level across several subfields of linguistics.
The videos here showcase presentations at York by our own staff as well as distinguished academic visitors.
