Catholic Diocese of Youngstown

We are people of God in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown. Blessed with a rich variety of backgrounds and talents, we are a living reflection of the Universal Church.

The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown is a Eucharistic community proclaiming the joy of the Gospel and living communion with Jesus Christ and His Church. As daughters and sons of the Father, we grow in faith, hope and charity through the grace of the Holy Spirit, and go forth as missionary disciples.

The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown was established on May 15, 1943, and was canonically erected on July 22, 1943. Located in Northeast Ohio, the diocese includes six counties: Ashtabula, Columbiana, Mahoning, Portage, Stark and Trumbull.

The Catholic Echo is the official media group of the Diocese of Youngstown. Our mission is to invite people into a relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church by echoing the Catholic faith in the six counties of the Diocese of Youngstown.
