Education for Change (EFC) began because Oakland families imagined something more for their children—schools where students are known, challenged, and celebrated for who they are. Today, we’re a network of six free public charter schools dedicated to accelerating academic growth, building confidence, and preparing every student for college, career, and a meaningful life.
At EFC, learning is personal and purposeful. Students find more than classrooms—they find joy, belonging, and challenge. Families find partners who share their hopes and values.
