John Paul Holloway

This was my youtube channel growing up as a kid. I chose to keep uploading to the same one, and leave my previous content available for view. Growing up I viewed my films as comedy rather than as art. Now, I am striving to make artistic films that have actual points other than learning how to use a camera or making a joke. I would describe this new art that I am making as Metamodern art, while my past videos were developmental, primarily focusing on technical skill, like how to film or use an effect, or just to make a joke. I would now relate these videos to something akin to sketches of an early artist. Some of them are very valid art works, but were not necessarily as refined as I will attempt to make my more current work. My past art might be described as modern or post-modern, or not art at all, and really, none of this matters to me. But, I do think it would be helpful in understanding me and my current art for you to look at my past videos.
