This channel was once called *Eat Your Kappa*—a humble attempt to share the food I missed from home. But life took an unexpected turn. What started as a way to reconnect with my roots led me to the sets of *MasterChef India*, where this rookie home cook ended up becoming the **first runner-up**. After that incredible journey, I renamed the channel simply as Nambie, because this space is now an extension of who I am.
I’m Nambie, born and raised in Shillong. I moved to Madras for higher studies and stayed on for work. While I came to love the dosa, biryani, and filter kaapi, nothing could replace the comfort of the food I grew up eating. I started this channel to share those tastes and stories—and in doing so, I found my way to *MasterChef India*. What followed was a whirlwind of learning, creating, and connecting.
This channel is now a reflection of that journey—rooted in home, branching into new adventures, and always cooking up something meaningful.
