The Tropical Health and Medical Research Council (TAAHC) is a research collaboration between the five hospital and health services in northern Queensland – Cairns and Hinterland, Mackay, North West, Torres and Cape and Townsville - the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network, the Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council and James Cook University. Our mission is to create an evidence-base, through locally-relevant research and its translation, for practical solutions that provide safe, sustainable and integrated health services for northern Queenslanders.
