Welcome to Ancient History

On Ancient History I make short documentaries on fascinating subjects taken from ancient times. I explore the history of intriguing characters, architecture, philosophy, mysteries, or try to answer unsolved questions about antiquity. We will visit Rome, Greece, Egypt, Mesopotamia and other places - and speak about known (and unknown characters) like Nefertiti, Julius Caesar or Alexander. I will also try cover the most recent finds from the historical and archaeological sciences.

My goal is to bring ancient history to life for you. It is an ongoing project and in every episode my aim is to improve a little bit more. My name is Mårten Ericson, and I am an historian and a publisher, living in the south of Sweden. History has been a lifelong passion of mine, and especially so the more distant history of mankind.
