Bluegrass Country Soul
Bluegrass Country Soul, the first bluegrass feature film, was shot in Camp Springs, North Carolina at Carlton Haney's 7th annual Labor Day Weekend Bluegrass Music Festival in 1971. Released in theatres in 1972, the movie was issued on DVD by Time Life Music in 2006 and sold out. In 2019 the newly restored movie premiered at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum in Owensboro, KY. A Golden Anniversary, Legacy Edition, multi-media box set is now available through BluegrassCountrySoul.com.
