The Hurmio

The band started with a name "Matchbox" already in 1977. With the name "Hurmio" the first gig was in the end of 1991.
The first record was made in the end of 1996 (with name "Rautakitaralankayhtye Hurmio" labeled as 'Palava Unelma' ) and it was published in January 1997. In 1998 an Instrumental 4 song promotion-CD was released under name "TwangTeam Ecstacy" labeled as ’Moontan’. 'Väreilyä' CD was released in 1999, instrumental record 'Instruducing' in 2000 and 4 song EP called 'IV' in 2002.
The Hurmio also backed up singer Kim Wilman in two releases.
The Hurmio has done 1000+ gigs throughout the years.
Currently a new release is in works - it will start as a 10 song vinyl and continue as three different publication lines - instrumental, sung in Finnish and sung in some other language. Estimated publishing period is in Fall 2020.
