The television series is about expanding one's identity as the episodes challenge attitudes towards the traditional roles of men and women in Tanzania. Set in a secondary school, the episodes are coming-of-age stories told from the point of view of 3 young Tanzanian footballers who grapple with the question: who am I? Thus, the Team is a platform for men and women, and boys and girls to engage in empowering discussions around gender equality and inequality in Tanzania.
