宗像みあれ芸術祭 official

世界遺産の地・宗像で行われる「宗像みあれ芸術祭」。
海と未来をつなぎ、いのちを結ぶアートの旅へ。

「みあれ（御生れ）」とは、神様の新たな力がお生まれになることを意味します。
宗像大社の大祭「みあれ祭」では、沖ノ島の沖津宮と大島の中津宮の御神璽（みしるし）が
本土の辺津宮にお迎えされ、三女神の新たな力が生まれると伝えられています。

この芸術祭は、その「みあれ」の心が息づく季節に開催され、
海や森とともに「いのちを結ぶ」循環＝常若（とこわか）の思想を、
現代アートの表現を通して発信していく場です。

子どもから大人まで、幅広い世代が宗像の伝統・文化・歴史の価値を
アートとともに学び、体験できる作品展示やワークショップ、音楽企画などを行います。
“みあれ祭 × アート” が織りなす、あたたかいものがたりの祭典へ、ようこそ。

“Miare” refers to the renewal of divine power celebrated each year at Munakata Taisha.
The festival expresses this spirit through contemporary art, inspired by the ancient idea of tokowaka—the ever-renewing cycle of life.
