Eric Donaldson
Eric Donaldson, born June 11, 1947 in Kent Village, St. Catherine, Eric began writing and singing at the age of 14, encouraged by the positive reception of his singing in a church in Barbican, St., Andrew. In pursuing a career in music, he first recorded at Studio One in 1964, with tracks such as "One More Kiss". None of those early tracks was ever released, though they were played during sound system clashes, Donaldson later formed the West Indians, a trio with Leslie Burke and Hector Brooke and they recorded several songs together, the most successful being "Right on Time", released in1968. After the disbandment of the West Indies, he taught himself to play the guitar before launching a solo career He recorded for JJ Johnson, Lee Perry and Clement Dodd,
