Vince Matthews' passion for Colorado Geology!
I retired as Director of the Colorado Geological Survey and as State Geologist of Colorado after a long career that included university teaching, natural resources management, and government service. I am passionate about geology and sharing my knowledge and geological experiences with others. My book, "Messages in Stone: Colorado's Colorful Geology," received several awards and has been used as a text in all of Colorado's public institutions of higher education and numerous secondary schools. My new book, "Land of Ice: Jaunts into Colorado's Glacial Landscape," will be available in 2024 through the Colorado Geological Survey (https://coloradogeologicalsurvey.org/). I plan to share various tidbits about Colorado's marvelous geology that I find interesting and hope that you will also.
