Jim B used to say the 12 steps may be the last great hope fore the world. We learn to remove the things in our past that block us from a Higher Power where ever that may come from, God usually. He gave us drunkards this gift because we were the outcasts of society and when we choose to do his Will with it great things start to happen. The 12 steps have saved so many it can not be denied, even if it just introduced a better way, it works! Doug W got the message too and all we can do is suggest the things we did to get where we are. I was an unwanted drunk.
