湯島猫島ありのまま

「猫島」として知られる熊本県上天草市の離島・湯島からライブ中継。熊本日日新聞社が上天草市の協力で開設しています。公式インスタグラム「湯島猫島ありのまま」でも猫島の日常をありのままにお伝えしています。

～湯島について～
湯島は有明海に浮かぶ周囲4kmの離島で、人口約200人より多い約250匹の猫が暮らしている。島民が猫一匹一匹に名前を付け、ワクチン接種や去勢・不妊手術を含む健康管理をするなどして、「人と猫の共生」を掲げている。

~About Yushima~
Yushima is a remote island with a circumference of 4 km in the Ariake Sea, where about 250 cats, more than the population of about 200 people, live. The islanders give each cat a name and provide health care, including vaccinations and spaying/neutering, in an effort to promote the "symbiosis between humans and cats.
