Welcome fellow hikers and outdoor enthusiasts to my channel.

This is a channel about backcountry know how, backpacking DIY 's, hiking hacks, thruhiking, some outdoor skills, some gear talk and for sure adventure reports. I will try to through in some fun science as well as self learned or expirienced Backpacker Science like calculating with the currency of a Snickers and how to fight the all over known bear-cat-moskito.

I am based in Germany, but travel all over the world and have hiked several long-distance trails and tracked a lot of miles on footpaths. Trekking is a huge part of my life, and I want to share and give back to the hiking community and to others not able to experience what I am able to do.

I thruhiked The Pacific Crest Trail in, was section hiking half of the Arizona trail in, thruhiked the West Highland Way twice as well as the Westweg and have Hundreds of weekends and thousands of day hikes on my back.
