In a place both alien and familiar, in a society plagued by poverty, tyranny, and hopelessness, a new tech appears that grows to dominate the planet and provide the masses with a new and dangerous experience, the Nostalgia Arcade.... It's from here that escapees and users can leave the confines of their terrible existence and enjoy the entertainment of times long passed, as well as a small degree of interaction with the people of today, people who live in a state of privilege and comfort that the users of the arcade have never known.... danger exists in the temptation to affect events and provide info of the future, but even if someone breaks protocol and risks execution, would you ever believe them anyways? Studies suggest, no.. Many users turn into permanent escapees after prolonged use, especially those who are suffering and choose to allow their mortal frame to wither away and die as they are forever integrated into a life of escape and fiction, but at what cost ask theologists?
