Girda Berzerker

My name’s Heather Thomas Olson and I go by the pseudonym of Girda Berzerker.

I paint like I’m casting spells—whether it’s the curve of a petal, the soul in a gaze, the hush of a field, or the quiet dignity of an animal’s stance.

My work is rooted in the layers tradition but also painted wet-into-wet in a single sitting. It’s a practice of presence—each brushstroke driven by intuition, urgency, and emotion.

While flowers are a recurring muse, my studio blooms with more:
🌸 **Floral still lifes** that feel alive
🧑 **Portraits** that breathe
🌿 **Landscapes** that whisper
🐾 **Animals** rendered with reverence

These are not just paintings—they’re intimate meditations on beauty, light, and the fleeting nature of time.

I share my process openly through videos, timelapses, and studio moments—inviting you to see the work unfold, one brushstroke at a time.

**Thank you for being here.**
