Author's name: Steven Parris Ward. Steven from the Greek Stephanos, or "crown", usually of laurel and befitting of the poet. Parris deriving from "parresia" or "freedom of speech" in expressing ideas. Ward from the Irish Gaelic “Mac an Bháird,” or “son of the bard.” A bard being a poet.
