I’m Tia Soakai — a storyteller of Melanesian and Polynesian descent, raised in the Pacific and based in Aotearoa.
I create videos that honour the lived experiences of our people — from cultural traditions and youth journeys to diaspora identity and intergenerational wisdom. Whether it’s a young Pasifika chasing a dream, a grandmother weaving a mat, or a moment of joy in a shared meal — I document it all, through a Pacific lens.
