Assemblies of God, Bahrain

As an international fellowship, the member denominations of Assemblies of God are entirely independent and autonomous; however, they are united by shared beliefs and history. AG originated from the Pentecostal revival of the early 20th century. This revival led to the founding of the Assemblies of God in the United States in 1914. Through foreign missionary work and establishing relationships with other Pentecostal churches, AG expanded into a worldwide movement. As a Pentecostal fellowship, AG believes in the Pentecostal distinctive of baptism with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

In 1980, June 24, the migrated Malayali Pentecostal believers formed the Bahrain Assemblies of God which is affiliated to the South West District of South India Assemblies of God.

Bahrain Assemblies of God Church formed with 27 believers and at present more than 350 regular members and many believers gathering for the glory of His name, worship and spiritual edification.
