Moviedrome Redux

Between 1988 and 2000, late on Sunday nights, something strange and brilliant happened on BBC Two. It was called *Moviedrome*. Hosted by Alex Cox and later Mark Cousins, it wasn’t just a film series - it was a cinematic education for people who didn’t want to go to film school.

Each week, a cult oddity, political thriller, or genre-bending misfit would be introduced with conviction, not irony. For my generation, it was a gateway to thinking differently.

**MOVIEDROME: REDUX** is my continuation of that idea. Updated. Rewired. Not nostalgic - resurrected.

Each week I’ll present a film that came after the original series ended, or one I believe it missed. Too strange, too angry, too slow, too smart to survive the algorithm.

I’m doing this because I miss taste. I miss risk. I miss films that challenged me. And I want to give that back - to those who remember, and those who never had the chance.

A canon of one. No stars. No awards. No apologies.
