Living in rural Germany
We fell in love with an empty, rundown, farmhouse in the beautiful Schwarzwald (Black Forest), & since then we've thrown all our life savings into buying this 19th C Farmhouse back in 2018, formerly a Blacksmith's, to create a family home and eventually a welcoming place for guests.
So far we have worked at installing the basics like a bathroom, a primitive heating system, a temporary kitchen & the start of a garden that can produce a good portion of our food. We have encountered challenges since moving in but remain devoted to creating a family home and business. We have also added some chickens to the clan.
We are currently working on the guest accommodation in an old storage barn & are looking forward to sharing this adventure with you.
