Jan Czarlewski

Jan Czarlewski is a Polish-French director and screenwriter based between Paris, Warsaw, and Lausanne. A graduate of ECAL (Switzerland), his award-winning short films ("Stammering Love", "The Ambassador and Me", "Operation Commando") have screened at Locarno, IDFA, Clermont-Ferrand, and Palm Springs.

He works across social and travel documentaries ("The Brick", "The Pilgrim") and branded fiction ("Training" for Camper), with a current focus on historical storytelling. His recent work includes "A Hundred Years of Poland", "1982", "Martial Law – We Were Not Alone", and upcoming releases "Poland in the Struggle for Freedom" and "33 Photos from the Ghetto" (Max Originals).
